Wisdom One-Liners of Ramana Maharshi

I have a collection of about 600 short and powerful quotes from Nisargadatta Maharaj and Ramana Maharshi, two venerated nondual teachers of the 20th century. I collected them the old-fashioned way in the late 1990s — directly from books — including the modern nondual classic of Ramana’s Spoken Teachings: Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi.
More recently, I entered these quotes into my own private competition to narrow them down to my top 20 favorites. My criteria included not only the clarity of the teaching, but also how memorable the quote is, how it rolls off the tongue, and how easy it might be to share in a conversation. I almost called them "catchy quotes," but "wisdom one-liners" seemed more fitting.
Here they are, in reverse order:

20. One must reach the Self in order to reach the universe.
19. Whatever state one is in, the perceptions partake of that state.
18. Self-realization is only a euphemism for the elimination of ignorance.
17. The only freedom you have is to turn your mind inward and renounce activities there.
16. It is by God’s Grace that you think of God.
15. He who thinks he is the doer is also the sufferer.
14. Grace is constant. Your judgment is variable.
13. Silence is the most potent form of work.
12. The ego is like one’s shadow thrown on the ground. If one attempts to bury it, it will be foolish.
11. Self-reform automatically results in social reform.
10. To each person, that way is the best which appears easiest or appeals the most.
9. Let come what comes, let go what goes. See what remains.
8. Your hands may do the work, but your mind can remain still. You are that which never moves.
7. Realization of the Self is the greatest help that can be rendered to humanity.

4. Happiness is your nature. It is not wrong to desire it. What is wrong is seeking it outside when it is inside.
