Inside the Small

INSIDE THE SMALL
On Becoming Tender and True
by Maja Apolonia Rodé
Please
release me from this fear
that projects a world unclear.
Let me, instead, become the sky,
an always-open loving
eye,
affectionate
awareness seeing
all the colors of my being.
I am at once a delicate flower,
the all-pervading Cosmic Power,
quantum bits and wholeness vast,
now, the future — now, the past,
creator of all time and space,
knowing itself through
a human
face.
I am that
which can hold it all.
The greatest paradox is small —
a microscopic spark of light
that shimmers in the
darkest night.
The truth
of who I am is this:
my body is a fractal kiss,
the actuality of bliss
as form makes love
with emptiness.
But what about the pain and fear?
They bring
the tender one so near
to be held and seen and known,
and enter, thus, the garden grown
within the earth's ecology —
a miracle of gravity
and time
and light — evolving still.
And on this day, self-loving will
takes root right here as I confess:
I am not more, and nothing less
than any other whole or part
of-this holographic
work of
art.
A speck
of cosmic dust is All,
a universe inside the small,
an aperture, awareness true,
beholding beauty through
and through.
Aperture
aware as you
behold your beauty
through and
through.
